About Advanced Materials by Vivara Scientific
Advanced Materials by Vivara Scientific supplies grinding media, milling jars, battery materials, cell hardware, and lab consumables to research and production laboratories. We are based in Littleton, Massachusetts, and we ship across the United States.
What we do
We are a provider. We do not run a kiln or a furnace, and we do not claim to. What we do is qualify manufacturers, hold stock locally, and supply their products with the specifications and documentation that laboratory work actually requires.
In practice that means three things. A technical datasheet on every product, so you can see density, hardness, size distribution, and composition before you buy rather than after. Lot documentation and SDS available on request. And someone you can describe your process to, who will tell you whether a material fits it.
The catalogue is narrow by design. We would rather know five product lines properly than list fifty we cannot advise on.
Why this exists
Buying materials for a lab is harder than it should be. Grinding media gets sold by price per kilogram with no wear data. Milling jars get shipped without anyone asking what mill they are going on. Battery materials arrive with no lot information, and six months later a result cannot be reproduced and nobody can say why.
None of that is complicated to fix. It mostly requires a supplier who understands what the material is for. That is the gap we set out to fill.
How we work
Tell us your material, your process, and your equipment, and we will recommend a product and explain the trade-offs. If we do not stock what you need, we will say so. If a cheaper option would work just as well for your application, we will tell you that too. We would rather lose one order than sell you media that contaminates your powder.
Volume pricing, custom sizes, and sourcing for materials outside our catalogue are all available. Same-day delivery in Greater Boston, and local pickup and drop-off in Littleton by appointment.
