Ceria-stabilized zirconia (Ce-TZP) grinding media, 2.8–3.2 mm. High-toughness beads for intermediate and fine wet milling. Ce-TZP resists the hydrothermal aging that shortens yttria-stabilized media life in hot, aqueous, high-energy milling, and at this bead size the higher fracture toughness matters most: larger media carries more impact energy per collision, so bead breakage is the usual failure mode.

Compatible Equipment
Planetary ball mills, agitator bead mills, attritors, and basket mills. Suitable for wet and dry milling. For sub-micron and nanoscale dispersion, use 0.6–0.8 mm media instead.
Ceria vs. Yttria
Ce-TZP offers superior fracture toughness and hydrothermal stability; Y-TZP offers slightly higher density and hardness. For aqueous slurries, elevated temperatures, or extended continuous operation, ceria-stabilized media typically lasts longer.
