Stainless steel planetary mill jar, 100ml. The general-purpose workhorse. Tough, effectively unbreakable in normal use, and the only jar here you can drop without consequence. Suited to metals, alloys, minerals and mechanical alloying, where a little iron pickup is acceptable.

Why stainless steel

Choosing stainless steel

Steel jars and steel media introduce iron, chromium and nickel into your sample. For battery materials, catalysts, electronic ceramics or anything where trace metals affect the measurement, use zirconia or PTFE instead.
